- Our mobile EFTPOS is cleaned with antibacterial wipes after each use
- We can usually deliver firewood to your property without getting out of the vehicle

⚠️ As winter approaches (firewood season), please be aware of online scams.
Unfortunately, this is the time of year when scammers target people trying to save on their household budgets.
Every winter we receive messages and phone calls from people who have placed deposits on firewood that never arrives or arrives not as described. Most of these scams happen through Facebook Marketplace, but we’ve also seen them through sponsored ads and fake business pages.
To help people recognize the warning signs, I’ve compiled a number of example images of common Facebook firewood scams. Each image includes a short explanation, or you can simply read the information in this main post.
There are many different types of scams, some more sophisticated than others. Our general advice is simple:
👉 Avoid buying firewood through Facebook Marketplace.
If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is.
Every year people contact us after they’ve been caught out. Often they feel embarrassed or ashamed for being tricked; but the truth is it’s never the customer’s fault for trying to shop around and save money.
What’s actually happening is people are being:
• Scammed
• Ripped off
• Scoped out
• Robbed

Where's Wood Guy? uuuuuuuuuh. 🤷♂️
The good news is that the 27 signatures gathered in September 2025 were not wasted.
The unfortunate news is that the goalposts have moved and a new petition is now required. I am once again asking the community to help by adding at least 10 signatures, which includes people who signed the previous petition.
